Kyle Dawes is a Senior Vice President for Carter Funds and is responsible for wholesaling the firm’s alternative investment offerings throughout the Southeastern U.S. Mr. Dawes has over 13 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong background in raising capital through both independent broker-dealer and RIA channels.

Prior to joining Carter Funds in 2025, Mr. Dawes served as Associate Director for the RIA/Institutional Group at CNL Securities. In this role, he worked alongside the sales team to generate leads and raise capital in alternative investments including real estate, private equity, and precious metals. 

Before rejoining CNL Securities in 2018, Mr. Dawes served as Regional Vice President for Legendary Capital, covering the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic territories. He raised capital through both independent broker-dealers and RIAs into a Reg D private placement offering. Earlier in his career, Mr. Dawes held various wholesaling roles at CNL Securities, including Senior Internal Wholesaler and Internal Wholesaler, where he played a key role in advisor engagement and territory management strategies. Mr. Dawes began his career at CNL Financial Group as a Client Services Representative, where he supported broker-dealer relationships and led data initiatives.

Mr. Dawes earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a minor in Accounting from the University of Central Florida. He currently holds his FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
