Gael Ragone | President, Carter Funds
Gael Ragone is President of Carter Funds, where she leads capital formation, distribution strategy, and investment execution across the firm’s alternative real estate platform.
In her role, Ms. Ragone works across both the investment and distribution sides of the business, aligning product development with investor demand across the broker-dealer, RIA, and family office channels. She has been directly involved in raising over $2 billion in equity across Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) and private placement offerings and plays a key role in the firm’s continued growth and expansion into new investment strategies.
Ms. Ragone was instrumental in the formation and development of Carter Exchange, the firm’s DST platform, which has executed more than 25 offerings and established a strong presence in the 1031 exchange market. She remains actively involved in the structuring, positioning, and distribution of the firm’s investment offerings, as well as broader strategic initiatives across the platform. She was instrumental in the formation and growth of Aphorio Carter, the firm’s data center real estate investment platform, where she oversees the wholesaling team responsible for raising equity for the Aphorio Carter Critical Infrastructure Funds. She works closely with broker-dealers and RIAs to drive capital formation and position the platform to capitalize on accelerating demand for data centers fueled by cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and the broader digital economy.
Ms. Ragone has also held positions in acquisitions, underwriting, and product management, contributing to more than $4 billion in real estate transactions and alternative investment offerings. Earlier in her career, she supported national distribution efforts for public non-traded REITs, helping drive significant capital formation.
Ms. Ragone received a dual bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from the College of the Holy Cross and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Nova Southeastern University. She is a former member of the Investment Program Association (IPA) Rising Leaders Council, a selective group of emerging leaders in the alternative investment industry, and is currently a member of Vistage, a global executive leadership organization.
