Mike McDonough, CAIA | Senior Vice President, RIA & FO Sales

Michael McDonough has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry with the last 16 years dedicated to alternative investments. Mr. McDonough is responsible for RIA and Family Office relationships in the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and Midwest regions. His expertise spans the spectrum of alternative investments across style, strategy, and structure. With a passion for private investments and building lasting relationships, Mr. McDonough has developed a nationwide relationship base across the RIA, FO and Consultant channels while striving to educate and deliver insights into unique and compelling alternative solutions.

Prior to joining Carter Funds, Mr. McDonough held the roles of Director of Advisor Relations with PPB Capital (an alternative access platform and provider of white-label solutions), Director of Capital Development at Virtus Real Estate Capital (a private real estate manager focused on cycle resilient property types), and Regional Director at Hatteras Funds (an alternative fund-of-funds). Before that, he held internal sales roles at Eaton Vance and AIG Sun America.

Mr. McDonough graduated from the University of Rhode Island with his bachelor’s in marketing and has held the CAIA designation since 2014. He and his family reside in Raleigh, NC.
